HOSTELS

.

RIVERSIDE HOUSE provides both a direct access hostel and a day centre for adults in need.

There are 24 beds for homeless men and women, available to those in need regardless of their issues, needs and history. Issues such as alcohol and substance misuse mental health problems, severe relationship breakdowns, recent release from hospital or prison, etc., can be addressed and supported by a team of experienced project workers. Residents can stay for up to 28 days and pets can stay with them wherever possible. A team of specialist workers are available during the day to offer further support to residents and day centre visitors.

SOUTHWELL LODGE provides a high level of staffing and support in a hostel for 10 young men and women aged 16 and 17. Unlike Riverside, Southwell is not direct access and referrals must be made through the Supported Housing Panel.

All young people resident at Southwell are engaged in education and/or training and are given the support they need to develop key independent living skills whilst also coming to terms with their emotional and behavioural needs.

Since opening in 2006, Southwell Lodge has worked with over 100 young people in need helping them to build brighter futures.
