Hundred for the Homeless

The following is a true account, the name has been changed.

Emma had worked in Sussex since leaving school. Got married,

moved aboard to start a new life. After a horrendous and abusive

marriage breakdown, she ended up back in Crawley with nothing.

 

Embarrassed and too proud to ask for help, she was sleeping

rough in various parts of the town. Our Outreach team met her,

gained her confidence and supported her to move into our hostel.

​

With nothing but support from the staff at Crawley Open House, Emma was successfully resettled in to a flat near Crawley where she started to rebuild her life. 

​

Now, Emma has a full time job and reguarly keeps in touch with how she is doing.
