Six women tell how they survived homelessness and are turning their lives around

Six women have spoken about how they survived homelessness and are planning to turn their lives around in 2020.

 

From struggling with addiction to fleeing their home country, each woman - aged between 19 and 47 - found themselves out on the streets of the capital in the last few years. 

 

But in 2020, the women, referred to only by their first names to safeguard their privacy, are making "baby steps" to turn their lives around.

 

They have all crowdfunded their way into new professions with the support of London-based charity Beam.
