Hundred for the Homeless

Crawley Open House provides vital support and services for those suffering the effects of homelessness, unemployment, loneliness, discrimination, or other forms of social exclusion in Crawley and neighbouring areas.

 

We are looking for capable, passionate individuals to join our board of Trustees. You will share your skills with us and support us to continue to make a valuable contribution to supporting the local homeless and disadvantaged, and to develop our plans for the future.

 

What will you be doing?

 

You will be required to attend bi-monthly committee meetings, bi-monthly Trustee meetings and an annual AGM.  You will be able to commit some time in between for specific projects and communication with board members. To support our current and future development, we would particularly welcome applications from those with experience in fundraising, HR, finance, business, building redevelopment and legal, but will also welcome any other skills that applicants may offer.

 

Trustees also benefit from volunteering within the project to meet staff and clients and get a feel of everything we do.

 

What are we looking for?

 

All potential trustees must have a genuine interest in improving the lives of our clients and must be able to commit to attending the trustee board meetings and playing an active role in supporting Open House.

 

They will be able to work as a team and on their own initiative, be prepared to express their viewpoints and speak their mind, and demonstrate prudent, independent judgement.

 

What difference will you make?

 

We already have a strong team of Trustee members but we are looking to bring in more people to support Open House to continue to grow. We will never be tired of new input and ideas.
