CHAGOSSIAN SUPPORT WORKER

£28,000 (40 hours per week)

 

Crawley Open House is a well-established local charity providing a twenty-four-bed hostel and a busy drop-in Resource Centre. Both provisions are designed to offer a high level of support to clients who are homeless and disadvantaged.

We are looking for 2 x Chagossian Support Workers on a 2-year fixed-term contract.

​

•    To provide person-centred and culturally competent support to members of the Chagossian community who are currently rough sleeping, accessing our Resource Centre, or residing in one of our internal projects.
 
•    To work in conjunction with our existing Hostel, Advice, Resettlement, Health and Outreach Teams to improve outcomes and repeat homelessness by helping to identify and meet a range of social, health, and housing needs.
 
•    To contribute to a culture of excellence that puts Crawley Open House’s core values – caring, honesty, respect and responsibility – at the centre of all we do, whilst continually improving and developing our service.
