Menzies Volunteering Week

We regularly host hostel ‘kitchen takeovers’ when volunteers serve lunch to 40 people and these events create a buzz for everyone - service users, staff and the lovely volunteers who make it happen.

 

Local accountancy firm Menzies recently raised the bar when they sent teams in each weekday for a week. Not only did the teams display their generosity and culinary skills by buying, cooking and serving a delicious two-course lunch, but because they took over the kitchen the time hostel workers would usually spend cooking was freed up for them to directly engage with and support our hostel residents.
